Abstract

The article analyzes the problem of psychological and pedagogical support of orphans who survived psycho-traumatic circumstances of war. It is noted that in Ukraine there is an increase in the number of the so-called physical children-orphans who survived traumatic circumstances and were physically deprived of their parents. The problems of psychological and pedagogical support of the personal development of orphans in the conditions of family deprivation, who suffered psychological trauma as a result of the military conflict, are insufficiently covered and need further studying. Family deprivation as a permanent negative companion of orphanage impedes the course of the personal formation of an orphan, coloring it with discomfort and deviant segments. Deprivation experience overloads the child's life, excessive traumatism can disrupt the course of its development, cause various emotional and behavioral negative reactions, perversion in the formation of its personality, overfunctioning of protecting mechanisms. The psychotraumae experienced by children mediates the child's current aspirations, their desires, interests, behavior, and the like. Invasive circumstances leave a child without a stable, safe and supportive family environment that is essential for a normal development. The ways of perfection psychological and pedagogical support of orphans who are in the conditions of family deprivation, in order to prevent posttraumatic disorders are singled out in the article.
