Time management as an integral component of modern approaches to the organization of the educational process and the formation of Soft Skills in institutions of higher education
Аннотация
The article presents the results of a sociological survey on the future doctors' awareness of the ability to plan their time, understanding the importance of acquiring this skill for the future profession, and determining whether the approach to time planning has changed in the conditions of a full-scale war in Ukraine. This paper indicates the necessity of mastering time management skills for the successful formation of soft skills in future doctors. During the research was carried out an analysis of literature sources and a retrospective characterization of various approaches to time planning, from simpler methods such as "To Do List" to deeply analytical ones, such as "Pareto Principle", "Eisenhower Matrix", "L. Seiwert's Rule" etc. The need to actively implement time management principles in the educational process in order to determine priorities for early planning and quality organization of time, especially under the conditions of distance education, is emphasized. The term time management is more familiar in the sphere of economy, which is also necessary for success and competitiveness of future doctor in the fastmoving world. According to the results of the survey, 70.5% of respondents are familiar with the concept of time management, and the greater part (68.5%) of the surveyed future doctors would like to learn more about the approaches and methods of time management, since most of them choose a simpler method, namely "to-do list". In the paper are also considered changes in the time management during active military actions. 36.6% of the respondents recognized significant changes in managing their time during the full-scale invasion, 34.2% of the respondents did not identify changes in time planning, and 28.6% noted partial changes in planning of daily affairs. Therefore, the organizing of one's time is undoubtedly one of the dominant skills for modern specialists' training in the medical sphere and it requires the latest approaches both to the organization of the educational process and to practicing time management skills.
