Professional self-development of future psychologists

The article describes the idea of the phenomenon of professional self-development in modern psychological research. It is proved that professional self-development is an active, conscious and purposeful activity of a psychologist to improve professional competence with the goal of professional self-realization and improving the quality of the provision of psychological services to participants in the educational process. The following factors of professional self-development are described such as psychological, organizational and economic. The stages and factors of professional development are specified, attention is focused on the psychological qualities, professional positions and acmeological options of a specialist. The psychological barriers that occupy an important place among the causes of complications of professional self-development of psychologists are characterized. The specifics of professional self-development of a practical psychologist is described.
