Abstract

The article emphasizes that one of the important tasks of education is: the formation of civic responsibility and legal identity, spirituality and culture, initiative, independence, tolerance, the ability to successfully socialize in society and actively adapt to the labor market. Disclosed are the goals, objectives, content, functions, directions of student self-government in the educational system of a general educational institution. It is determined that the organization of student selfgovernment is understood as the result of targeted pedagogical power for the development of the student team, which contributes to the formation of civic qualities among team members by involving them in managing school affairs and creating able-bodied self-organization bodies, endowed with real rights and obligations.
