Abstract

In today's world, where the information that we contemplate in the form of news or advertising spreads instantly, the stability and integrity of beliefs play an important role in our psychological health. In a common sense, on the scale of the country, it is national consciousness. These beliefs and values can be attacked by the enemy, with the aim of weakening the unity of the people as a whole. The information security of the state must ensure the inviolability of national beliefs and abet their distribution, while the process of forming the consolidation of Ukrainianness is of particular interest to us, which is the main factor in preserving national authenticity, identity and the development of statehood. This work aims at researching development trends, perspectives and substantiation of the significant importance that national consciousness has in the field of information security of society. National interests are based on the values of the nation - a set of mental ideals of its representatives, in which the originality of historical development and culture will be reflected. The historical past and traditions of the people, their rules and norms of behavior, folk tales and legends recorded in oral and written form, monuments of art and architecture are the determining factors in the formation of national self-consciousness. National consciousness is inextricably linked to the functioning of the national language, because the language serves as a significant factor in the identity of the people. National consciousness is manifested in ideas, views, feelings, thoughts, emotions, moods, expressing the content, level and features of the ideas of members of the nation regarding their identity and differences from representatives of other communities; national values and interests; common views on the history of the nation, its current state and prospects for development. The problem of formation and development of a common Ukrainian identity is closely related to the problem of ensuring the informational and psychological security of Ukrainian citizens, which is key in the conditions of a full-scale war. Timely response to external informational attacks, a unified education system as the basis of education and the transferring of national heritage, the comprehensive spread of the Ukrainian language throughout the country are key factors in getting a unified social consciousness. National consciousness, which summarizes the principles and values professed in the state, is the core of information security, such a column on which the power and steadfastness of the people is based, its ability to resist disagreements and enemies and to follow the path of sustainable development. The process of receiving national self-identification is a long, continuous process that has a directed direction, is supported by internal state institutions and is imprinted in the national code by the experience of previous generations.
