Distance education in a pandemic

The research defines the pecularities of online learning, implemented at the time of acute respiratory disease COVID 19 pandemic, caused by coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. The paper presents survey results aimed at defining the attitude of students and academic staff towards online learning, highlighting the drawbacks of mentioned above type of education as well as development and implementation of required online resources based on methods and tools that can be used during online learning in order to enhance students’ academic performance. The influential peculiarities of distance learning have been suggested and a comparative analysis of traditional and distance learning under the conditions of quarantine has been carried out. Based on the performed analysis, the most important peculiarities have been identified.
