Lessons from the Ukrainian experience of reforming higher education in the context of cognitive warfare: main trends and challenges

Abstract

The given article examines the challenges, tendencies, prospects of the System of Higher Education of Ukraine caused by the cognitive warfare. Ukrainian lessons of Educational Reforming, its major directions, approaches and disputable problems are revealed in the educational space. Based on the analytical literature review of the latest scientific sources of information on changes and transformations in Ukrainian educational sector of 2024-2026 period of time till now, it was established that Ukrainian educational leaders and researchers have wealth of ideas and experience to move the Higher Educational Reform in the direction that would benefit the country as whole and well-being of its students and people. Nowadays, there is urgent need to proceed from the rhetoric of changes to the rhetoric of creative, effective moves grounded on national values and national educational context and achievements that have been obtained by the year 2026. It was concluded that as we reflect on hard-fought progress in the Ukrainian Higher Educational System, regarding the analysis of advances and losses of the Reform, we also have an optimistic opportunity to make important changes in how we approach development at warfare.
