The problem of studying the social and psychological conditions of the personal self-determination of adolescents with deviant behavior

Abstract

The current state of socio-political and economic sphere of life of people in our country is marked by instability, recession, sharp rise in inflation and unemployment, change of attitude to the system of moral values and norms, which causes an increase in the number of offenses and crimes in society, in particular, among minors. At the same time, theoretical analysis shows that most studies of the phenomenon of self-determination concern children with normative behavior. In general, the results of the analysis on the identified problem indicate the absence of special systematic studies of the features of personal self-determination of adolescents with delinquent behavior. Outside the attention of scientists, the identification of basic structural correlates of (vital, moral, professional) self-determination of adolescents with delinquent behavior remains. The purpose of the article is theoretical study of the socio-psychological conditions of personal self-determination of adolescents with delinquent behavior. It is revealed that psychological conditions of selfdetermination are the individual-psychological features of adolescents that shape the unlawful orientation of their behavior, in particular disorders in the emotional-volitional sphere: aggressiveness, conflict, personal anxiety, impulsiveness and low self-esteem. At the same time, in the interpersonal interactions (relationships, communication) with the reference others, the individual adolescents of the given category are able to show peacefulness, non-conflict, balance, tolerance, sincerity and self-confidence.
