Higher education in the conditions of armed aggression by the Russian side and current geopolitical challenges

Abstract

The article examines the main trends in the development of the educational sector of Ukraine and the state of higher education in Ukraine during the war. The main goal of this work is to analyze the development of the educational sector of Ukraine and the state of higher education in Ukraine during the war; determine the
economic security of higher education institutions during the wartime period. The main approaches to defining economic security in terms of higher education institutions are considered. An analysis of the concept of «economic security of higher education institutions during the war» was carried out. It was determined that the educational parameter «the breadth of coverage of the innovative environment» changed by the war needs special attention. The place and role of partnership interaction of higher education institutions, which is one of the key principles of ensuring the quality of higher education, is revealed. The author comes to the conclusion that Europe is the leader in promoting joint programs, double degree programs, and dual education. Also, the author comes to the conclusion that the essence of the economic security of the armed forces during hostilities should be considered taking into account operational and tactical decisions made by responsible bodies and officials, namely: focus on security techniques by creating technical conditions and means that eliminate danger or prevent danger. The article uses theoretical research methods: analysis, synthesis, comparison, systematization, generalization.
