The article presents approaches to the study of interpersonal relationships in theories of small group, social identity and control of influence. Considered how the interaction of people in small social groups forms thoughts, behavior and interpersonal relationships. The generalized mechanisms that underlie the development of trust, status hierarchies, and social perception are studied. The inclusion of people with hearing impairments in the space of public relations reveals their socially significant features that encourage a certain attitude towards people of other social groups, members of civil society and group activities. A person with hearing impairments becomes a full-fledged member of civil society through their own mastery of certain values and norms of different social groups, ways of interaction and communication with others. There is a peculiarity of understanding the "image of the world" by people with hearing impairments, which affects their characteristics of establishing interpersonal contacts.
