Abstract

 In the article, based on the analysis of literary sources, issues of professional competence, innovative activity of the modern teacher, components and professionally significant qualities of the teacher are considered; the activities of the teacher in terms of harmonization of higher education with European standards and ways of
forming pedagogical skills and positive image, coverage of the issues of the latest standards in the work of the teacher. The activity of the teacher in the conditions of war is outlined.
