Abstract

The research paper reveals the influence of the environmental parameters on the formation of a number of organizational models of English language immersion at the higher educational establishments in the Ukrainian context. The structure of the main types of the introduced models has been analysed. The learning goals and the applied methods at different stages have been described. The specifics of integrated learning in Ukraine include a gradual shift from the focus on language to content at different stages of learning; specialty-based content of subjects (with exception of the Humanities); limited exposure to CLIL; curriculum-based integration of the immersion programmes; non-English language environment in Ukraine.
