Abstract

The authors of the article have presented the retrospective of innovational activity of the laboratory of physical development and healthy lifestyle of the Institute of Problems on Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine (NAES of Ukraine) during 2009-20017 years; have substantiated the topicality of problems of physical and military-patriotic education of children and youth and the need of their solving. The unsatisfactory state of health and physical development of Ukrainians have served as determinants in defining the lines of scientific research of the laboratory of physical development and healthy lifestyle during 2009-2013 years. The main goal of activity of research scientists of the laboratory was to upgrade physical education and training in general educational institutions, to improve the physical state and health of children and student youth, to prevent spreading of negative phenomena: alcohol and drug addiction etc. The urgent issues investigated by the laboratory in 2014-2016 years: “Military-patriotic education of students of general educational institutions in out-of-class work”. Since 2017 (until 2019) the research scientists of the laboratory have performed the scientific research work “Methods of formation of high school students’ readiness to the defence of homeland”. The aim of this activity is to improve the state of student youth’s readiness to defend their native
land. The article’s main information covers the results of the research work, innovational activities, scientific achievements of the laboratory of physical development and healthy lifestyle of the Institute of Problems on Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine.
