Peculiarities of the mechanism of meaning formation when experiencing traumatic experience in the works of modern scientists

This article review the problem of the mechanism of meaning-making of a person and studying the identity of a person after experiencing a psychotraumatic effect. To the theoretical review the works of modern Ukrainian and foreign scientists were selected. The temporal and motivational aspects of the mechanism of meaning-making, the role of narrative in the construction of meaning, approaches to the definition of an extreme and traumatic situation are revealed.
