Abstract

The article is devoted to post-traumatic stress disorders among military veterans and their rehabilitation and adaptation to civil life. Guarantees of social benefits to military veterans in the sphere of higher and professional education, enshrined in the Ukrainian legislation, are presented. The article examines the international experience in other countries, namely, in the United States regarding programs of social benefits for military veterans. Statistical data on the number of participants in rehabilitation programs in Ukraine and the USA are presented. The problem of rehabilitation and adaptation of military veterans to civil life has risen in Ukraine recently, and therefore, requires further research.
