Psychological analysis of the modern youth readiness for married life

Abstract

The article presents an analysis of the modern youth readiness to build marital and family relationships. Diagnostic methods for researching the psychological features of youth readiness for married life have been determined. The relationship between the level of youth readiness for marriage and upbringing in the parental family was analyzed. The important role of young people’s orientation to the importance of sexual relations in family life, the personal unity of husband and wife, parental responsibilities, professional interests, household maintenance, moral and emotional support, external attractiveness of partners, as well as life values and their role in family life has been confirmed. The conclusions contain an overview of the theoretical and empirical results of the study of the readiness of modern youth to build marital and family relationships. The practical significance of the obtained results is determined by the possibility of using the developed and tested complex of psychodiagnostic methods and the results and conclusions of the conducted research in working with young people on issues of preparation for married life and providing advisory assistance to young people on building family relationships.
