The controversy in views on the problem of creativity

The paper reflects current views on creativity in the pedagogical, psychological and philosophical sciences. The views of Ukrainian and foreign scientists on the issue are analyzed and different approaches to understanding creativity from antiquity to the present are presented. The controversy in views on this issue is emphasized. The position of scientists of the cognitive approach, who consider it is better to study creativity in the context of modern cognitive science is supported.
